During my years in the threat intelligence and vendor market, I’ve seen a consistent lack of innovation among TI vendors, leading to a reactive rather than forward-looking approach. Most solutions focus on curating and contextualizing threat data from past attacks but fail to reduce the noise that overwhelms SOCs. One of the biggest challenges has been accurately identifying the nature of IP addresses—whether they belong to botnets, bulletproof hosters, fraud operations, scanners, proxies, or VPNs—so security teams can investigate threats more effectively.
